Cycas Revoluta Propagation

When a female Cycas revoluta is pollinated with pollen from the male cone, it produces viable seeds which can be used for growing new sago palms. Be very patient, sago palms develop seeds very slowly.

A Cycas revoluta can be grown from suckers of the mother plant. Tis is a natural process for the Sago palm ad it will not hurt it.

General Information

A sago palm is a popular landscape plant from the family Cycadaceae. It has a stout, rugged trunk topped with feather-like, fern-like leaves. It is a cone bearing plant. A Sago palm (Cycas Revoluta) is either a male or female. They have different reproductive cones. A male plant shows a yellow long corn cob and a female produces a yellow circular cabbage flower.
